Supporting structures for technical equipment

This is an on-going project where we provide static calculations for various steel supporting structures for various technical equipment. What makes it even better is, that we have designed some of that technical equipment as well, but here I want to focus on the supporting structures themselves!

What is interesting in this work is, that we get to design structures all over the world. This means that we have to deal with various requirements in design, which is great for broadening of our perspective. Additional challenge is, that oftentimes, there is simply not enough place, to develop a structural system I would like, and we have to work around the clock to find a suitable solution without a key bracing or one of the columns. Sometimes it really feels like a puzzle – but this is what makes the engineering work fun!

Project Takeaway:

There are many things worth mentioning here, as we did dozens and dozens of course structures already. I think that what is most important for me, is that it’s good to be precise when it comes to communication and paperwork for a project. I always push for details, and I like clear situations (which are well described in the analysis reports). This was really useful on some occasions with international projects!
